(G) Punto HGT owners - which insurance?

The car insurance is due for renewal this week on the punto HGT.


I have tried various brokers on line with varying results.

Can any HGt owners reccomend an Insurer who " Likes" the HGT>?

tried admiral ? i aint got hgt but they were dirt cheap for me.

I found Adrian Flux the best for my HGT all mods covered.

Yep, Adrian Flux came good for me. Oh and you can beat them down quite a long way - they like to beat other quotes

Used to be with Admiral and they were fine for the Punto.
Also tried Bell Direct (part of the Admiral group) and they were even cheaper for a time.
Currently with Direct Line for the Stilo and they beat Admiral by £100

Best thing to do is try confused.com then when it gives you a list of all the quotes and who they're from go to the insurance companies own websites and try again. You often get it even cheaper.

Or insuresupermarket.com is another good one.

I tried confused.com once and all the quotes were considerably more than when I went directly to individual sites and tried their own on-line quote thing.

i had already tried confused a few days ago and 3 quotes were returned by different providers at the same price quoting "FORTIS" as the insurance company.

Fortis website says they don't sell direct only through brokers!!!!!!

As luck would have it one of these companies quoting a FORTIS policy ( Swinton) rang me tonight. I said i wasn't going ahead yet as it was too much ( even though they were the cheapest). They kindly gave me the Legal cover for free ( saving £20) and then gave me a further 10% to get the business.

so all in all I am well chuffed!


PUNTO HGT covered fully comp - protected no claims - business and personal use all for £423!

A lot of money to me - more than my Golf Cabriolet used to be ( and thats the first car in 10 years i've ever had nicked! ) but the cheapest quote for the HGT I could find!

so unfair, I pay 3 times that for a 1.2, how many years NCB do you have?

quote me happy (norwhich union) are meant to be good, even with the annoying adverts!

the insuresupermarket.com is the best, then go to the best quotes and try again on their own sites, you may be new customer deals etc..

OMG i pay £1012 for my HGT with Privilege. It was the cheapest i could get. Im 23 with 4 yrs NC.

I'm 25 with full NCB and pay £380 or £400, can't remember.

hi hgt have you tried zurich i found them preety cheap mine cost £380 with no claims as i lost mine due to a 50/50 oh that was last year
