(T) W reg Punto Steering

Hi, I know there's a few related questions, but none seem to match exactly the problem that i have.

Basically, on full lock either way, with or without the 'City' mode, my steering squeals constantly, not just when it's cold or damp. I know the power steering is electrical, and not belt driven, so it can't be anything to do with that. Or can it?

I asked my dad and my brother to look at it but they can't see anything, and neither are familiar with electrical power steering, so I turn to the source of all answers, FIAT owners!

Please someone help me as the squealing is doing my nut!

Depends if you are holding it forcibly (is that a word?) to the left or right as you would expect a certain amount of noise from the motor.If your worried about it take it to local dealer & let tech have a quick listen to put your mind at ease,just ask reception if someone can have a listen thats all

Rather than the sound of a motor, it's more like a slipping belt, although obviously it can't be as there is no power steering belt. Taking it up to Huttons FIAT this afternoon for a diagnostic, so hopefully will find out if there's a problem or not!!

Might be the Gators on the flotting wish bone! does it do it when you bounce the car?
