(G) What do you hate about the mk2 Punto?

mk2 81000 miles only problem was n/s outer door handle snapped

i reckon the msot annoying thing has got to be the juddery wipers... there is a cure but i just havent got round to it....

then theres the indicator flicking off when you go round roundabouts.

STAINED SEATS: Go to poundland get apple scented stain remover in the auto section. removed ribena for me its class

Nappies....oh that reminds me of a 'unfortunate' accident in the wifes car

lol the ol' mk1 has JUST started doing this now....


anyway, just reading through the thread trying to persuade myself NOT to buy a mk2 sporting - nothing ive read so far has persuaded me against it yet

1.4 or 1.2?


1.2 is OK, but wouldn't call it sporty, loves to rev.

1.4b is much better, and don't really cost much more. more noticably, it has torques

well i like the shape of the mk2 better than the mk2b, so its gotta be the 1.2 i suppose i could wait for the right one to come up at the sales, but ive got my eye on one at a dealers, 39k, 52 plate, immaculate, 6 month tax 12 month MOT, 3 grand, not that bad a price, unless someone else can persuade me otherwise....

All the things mentioned, I have and hate also...

Worst thing is that juddery clutch, just dont know why I spent so much time posting, waitting for help, and at the end I saw that everyone has this problem (beside these "trusty" forum memebers that have no problems whatsoever, yeah right)

It does feel like the year it was manufactured, it's not 20th century, but not quite 21st...

I just cant beleive that someone had no problems with punto for 100k km, if it was any other make it would have something gone wrong, even 50k EUR car

depends what you mean by gone wrong, of course the normal service items need replacing, but loads of cars live with just them being done

All the stuff a lot of us listed here...not one flaw? C'mon....where do you buy your Puntos?

got mine off ebay, i dont have a clutch, but my dads old mk2b now my daughters car dont have the judder
