(G) What do you hate about the mk2 Punto?

I just bought one and I have very few gripes with it atm.

Only thing i DISLIKE (hate is a strong word)
Indicator stalk, like on all fiats.
Side repeaters look like nipples.
juddery window wipers.


I really can't think of anything else.

(Sorry if all of the above have been mentioned, i couldn't be bothered to read through the entire thread)

wiper linkage

indicators turning themselves off

rattling(my pet hate)

theres more positives than negatives tho

Mostly all has been said that I dislike/hate about the punto.

1. Indicators getting stuck when turned or cancelling before I've even turned the corner!!
2. Easily stain able seats.
3. Crap Factory fitted CD Player, absolutely no anti-shock!
4. Bad plastic as dash etc. gets scratched very easily.
5. Squeaking noises from back shelf or suspension.

That's all I can really think of at the moment.

well i could go on about the handling benefits of the S-jet, but instead il just shut up

Can't get a maccy d's large drink in the cup holder properly! very annoying!! call me a fat b***ard why don't you?

Gearbox refusing to go into 1st without a real ramming in!

Indicators going off when indicating right when joining a roundabout (that initial little bit of left just gets it!)

The window switches

rear wiperblade being a real PITA to change (I snapped the bugger in half the last time I tried! the current one even has a little bit snapped at the end!)

engine being too quiet! stereo over 25? bye bye engine noise!(I'm used to driving land rovers, bedford 4 tonne, daf 4 tonne and bedford 14 tonne trucks man!!)

being smoked by chavs in vauxhall novas! FFS!!!

at least I can't leave the headlights on eh?

i have the same problem

needs gearbox oil changed most likely

never had this problem, but mine sometimes flick the other way AFTER the turn

oi! i've got the (possibly) worlds only 1.2 16v dynamic that has nearly all the kit from the HLX dude!

oh yeah i forgot! So what do these novas around your way run then? these days most novas i know of are either GSIs or have red-top conversions...

the 16v engine is far from slow, considering the small capacity.

they're two different engines

they're all mid engined 2.5 ltr v6's man! seriously! squaddies eh?
My mate's shot a piston a few days ago (made a nice little dent in the roof of my 4 tonner!)
