Difference in Fiat Garages

My 53 reg Sporting has been going to Fiat Derby regularly from about 3 weeks after I bought it up until about a month ago for various minor and one serious warranty issues.

Two running issues were a loud annoying interior rattle from the passenger side rear window / panelling which Fiat Derby took a total of 21 days and did not cure. The other was a tinny rattle from under the bonnet when the engine was cold and only up to about 2000 rpm again for which Fiat Derby had the car over about ten days in total and changed the alternator twice, then the crankshaft pulley and the alternator / air con belts twice and still didn't cure it.

On Monday I took it to JCS at Kegworth and collected it today and the interior rattle is gone ( apparently body and panel screws / bolts missing since manufacture ) and the under bonnet rattle is positively identified as the air con compressor faulty ( never was very cold and a new compressor on order )

Also had 24000 mile / 2 year service done at the same time although only done 13000 miles and it was £170 all in which was about £75 cheaper than Fiat Derby.

Now I've found a competent and courteous dealer my confidence in Fiat has been somewhat restored and they can look after my car when the warranty expires.

Fiat HQ already know what I think of Fiat Derby, but there is now an email winging its way to HQ letting them know what a difference I found JCS to be
