| Water under rear bench seat, where from? Hello all, I noticed one day when I was using my punto to ferry some stuff around that when i lifted up the rear bench there was alot of water underneith on the passenger side. It was raining hard and it seems as tho the water has probably sprayed in off the wheel when driving somehow, probably missing a bit of plastic or something! Has anyone else had this and cured it to save me spending ages trying to work out where its coming through? Cheers!

| Re: Water under rear bench seat, where from? All seals are good, like I said it has to have come from spray off the wheel as its not on any other areas above it.

| i am | Re: Water under rear bench seat, where from? well your saying its not comnig from above.is this due to you not seeing it? my old cinq had a leak from the rear seals that took me 2 months to find. i endeed up stripping out the back and drying it out. putting down talc and going through the car wash. your saying its coming from spray from the wheel but this would mean there being a hole.more likely water is getting past a seal, light etc.water will form in the lowest point it can reach, not always near the entry poiint | ||

| Forum Moderator | Re: Water under rear bench seat, where from? Had a few with poor seams at the tailgate, water drips down the C pillar & in the boot/under rear seat area, worth checking. Rule one of water leaks........water obeys no physical laws & does what it likes!
