Hi mates got a mk1 punto causing him endless problems first fan stopped working (seized) then, sump has been leaking but now fixed there mustardy oil on the ground where is was leaking and slight bit of it on filler cap however dipsticks clean could this have possibly condensation in the sump? Also the other after getting it fixed it suddenly died car seems very lumpy on idle and was dying this morning after I started it (charged battery up) after revving for about 2/3 mins seemed to sort itself out and idled normally, then discovered no hot air car was hot accept bulkhead pipes were cold so I'm suspecting heater matrix? Could this be right and if so an airlock? How could I get rid of it, thanks cars done 130k

Thanks for your help however these link won't work where can u gift these?

Is it loosing coolant?

If so, compression test.

you know on those little paper notes that mechanics leave inside engine bay after they did a service?

it usually says what they have changed, and at coolant note there is an option -topped up or drained & changed and they cross what they did

why would there be an " top up option" if car shouldnt ever lose coolant?

I suspect there's a "check coolant" drill.

In days of yore it was commonplace to have to top up coolant (leaks, crap materials, etc.). Now it behoves everyone to check it.

But the system is sealed. If in good order it shouldn't loose any coolant. A tiny bit is acceptable, but not right. As it approaches its 25th birthday, my MR2 is loosing about 10ml every thousand miles (I suspect it blows out into the expansion tank, which on the MR2 isn't part of the sealed system).
