I just had to replace the head gasket on my 1995 55S (£320), which became damaged when the engine overheated. I don't like the idea of the "warning" light on the 55S as its usually too late, so would like to fit a temperature guage to give me an earlier warning of overheating.
Can anyone tell me the cheapest/easiest way to do this? I like the idea of fitting a 55SX instrument cluster, but I read somewhere the wiring loom for this is not fitted.
Where is the temperature sensor on the 55S and 55SX, and could an aftermarket gauge be fitted to the factory Fiat sensor/sender?
Martin.
