Hi guys I've a 'm' 95 cabrio 1.6 ELX and amongst other things I need is another gearbox am I restricted to ones that are only used in this model or is there another car which is the same ?

FIAT/Alfa/Lancia tend to use the same gearbox on as many cars as possible, so there's a good chance.

Generally there's an identifying mark on the front face of the box.

Alternatively, a friendly FIAT dealer can probably look it up for you.

No, it's pretty unique AFAIK - an uniquely(?) tall-geared Punto type box mated to a bellhousing that fits the 128/Uno/1581 sohc block; bellhousing starter motor hole is opposite side compared to same box fitted to a FIRE engined Punto.

Anyway I've got a good one for you, also nearly new clutch, out and ready to take away, collect preferably, Devon. Where are you?
