Found 3 connectors stuffed between the battery (which I was removing) and the offside headlamp. One (with the yellow collar) has what I surmise is a shorting cap on it with a clip for it to be attached somewhere. The other 2 are quite big but there is nothing within range to connect them to. There was an aftermarket alarm fitted but the previous owner said he removed it. They could be left from that.
Anyone seen this before?

I have the same ones on my 98' 1.2. 3 pin is most likely ABS diagnostic. The two black ones, all black wiring, got me thinking. Why have only black wires... so a thief couldn't cut the right one.

Checked the schematic, and yes, it's the factory anti-theft device connector.

that makes sense, that is where the factory alarm sits if fitted actually, didn't think of that :doh:
