Looking for a new fuel pressure regulator for my cabrio.
I've read that a bad regulator can cause long starting problems and I would like to change it anyway due it's age (1994).

Which one would be the best quality to get?
STANDARD SMP, BORG WARNER BWD, AC DELCO, DELPHI, AIRTEX, WELLS

They're all look the same:

I couldn't find any info about them - bar pressure or anything else.

I've talked with the local fiat dealer here and he said it's an american part by GM that was used in open corsa. he told me that any brand would fit as long as it's the same design.

I got mine off an old chevrolet.
The design is the same. I would like to know what is the best brand to get.

Problem is, you've absolutely no idea what you're buying!

I'd get one off someone who deals in FIAT parts -- see "member offers" etc.

Well obviously you were right.
I contacted everyone including Mick from eurocarcare and my local dealer.
This regulator is not made anymore by fiat and there is no way finding a new part.

I got mine from a scrap yard off an old american car (chevy cavalier) and drove it since then. I think it gives too much fuel pressure though (3bar+) as this is what I found of it's specs.

On Autodata it says "system pressure regulated with vacuum: 2.5bar+-0.2"

Most of the regulators I've found on ebay runs around 3-4bar pressure.
I found one that gives "30-40PSI, that is 2-2.75bar"
I think it's better than a 3bar regulator, but I'm not sure if the pressure should be exactly and not between some and some.

Wish I could knew what are the original specs of the FIAT/GM regulator and how it works..
