ahh thanks, but that set would work though? i ask only because it has the bolts with it.
i can hang onto or give the manifold gaskets to some one.

aaalso..

this engine i am getting is quite high mileage. just over 117k miles besides gaskets, anything else i should change.

i will be changing the belts water pump and thermostat. as well as all of the gaskets and valve stems, crank case seals and gasket.

think the piston rings would be alight?.. or should i only change them "when they go" by that i mean if compression is low on a dry test, then higher on a wet test.

im not sure what miles a fire block will do before thing start acting up. am i just being over cautious?

eeeeeewwwwwwwww wasteful carbs...

i want some eco injection. wiring in an eprom controlled injector kill switch for coasting ;)
press and hold button to stop the injectors, but as soon as the throttle is pressed the injectors come back on even if the button is being held down, also have an RPM sniffer, if engine rps drop below say 600RPM it gives power back to the injectors.. even if the button is still being pressed.
these are the fun things with injection!

hehe i could also wire in a coil pack kill switch.. you know.. just to see if i can get the exhaust to bang. no cat and the exhaust switch so i can put it to strait pipe.. yeah it may bang without the kill switch hehe

anyway the car is not meant to go fast.. its purely a road going show car. :D
you should see what i am doing to the dash board :D

If you make a bell housing adapter you can use my 1.6 Sporting (128 genII) engine, loom immobiliser and such. 90bhp more torque than any production FIRE or SuperFIRE engine. Once that's in place you can venture over to the darkside as the 1.7D and 1.7TD share the same block. The MKII Punto 1.9D (pre-JTD) is the biggest of the 128 based diesel engines.

Some of the Punto GT Turbo guys have used the 1.9 Diesel block and low compression pistons to get 300+bhp.

The Punto GT, Uno Turbo engine fits in the Panda bay and the 1.6 is the same size.

But for your needs it would probably be best to find a Punto 75 and get stripping (even though a crank sensor engine won't be a good if you go off road). ;)

i didnt have a hyanes.

anyway.. as now i have found out what each wire does, i am going to post it here for any future reference.

the 8F ECU wiring colours for the P75 1.2 MPI engine:

a big thick RED wire, is a constant live from the battery.
ORANGE wire, its an ignition live.
BROWN with WHITE stripe is the fuel pump
BLUE wire, it is for the REV counter
LIGHT GREY with GREEN stripe goes to the CODE box (ECU pin 7)(wire colours match on ECU and CODE box connector!)
BLUE with GREEN stripe goes to the injector/engine management light (ECU pin 6)
LIGHT GREY with YELLOW stripe goes to the oil light
LIGHT GREY with BLACK stripe goes to the battery/Alternator light
LIGHT GREY only wire goes to the temperature gauge

I hope this helps some one in the future!

i also have found out that if you give the CODE light a permanent live, with the engine and ignition OFF, it flashes like an alarm "armed" light. looks cool, but i would swap the bulb out for an LED. as it is a bit more power saving and the constant on/off on a filament/incandescent bulb causes them to blow faster whereas it does not effect an LED.
