Picture is a bit too dark but is the 1.6 gearbox different than the others?
I know on the other MK1's the drain plug is at the side of the gearbox.
I found this drain plug at the back and not the side, almost near the sump plug:

think it was 12mm or 13mm can't remember exactly but I used 2 different tools for the drain and fill plugs.
I filled it up with 2 liters of 75W90 and gearbox is smooth.

There are no other drain plugs right?

never done on a 1.6, but i would say the drain plug on the C514 boxes found on the other engines is at the back not the side... Its right the near the rear mount on them ones...

Basically you are looking for the lower most plug on it which that one pictured looks like it is. And fill from the filler plug until it comes out of it on level ground - no idea what the actual capacity is.

Here's a better picture:

I'm pretty sure that's the drain plug. I drained up about 2 liters. I don't think it's a different oil, must be the gearbox though I haven't seen a drain plug near the rear mount.

Anyhow, I'm asking this because the clutch started slipping today. changed the oil 2 weeks ago.
Clutch was always hard but today started slipping at 2.5-3k rpm above second gear.

Anyone know if the clutch on the 1.6 is different than other puntos?

Changed the clutch today.
I gave the old one to the shop and got a genuine one of Valeo. Pretty sure it's the same size as all the puntos.

Clutch bearing was rusty and stuck. it could not spin correctly.
