clocks

this is prob obvious for you clever people...lol

ive a damaged mk2 in the middle of repairs at the moment....changing a few things about..... anyway,a mate wrote off his active sport..so i took a few things off it... thought id change the clocks.... but when i plug his into my wiring...nowt lights up...... is this the norm?..clocks cant be changed?

people have put rev counter clocks in non rev counter mk2 before, they usally plug n play

mine is a 52 plate, the clocks came out of a 04 plate.......
wonder if their was a change in compatibility o3 onwards or summit...
when i say nowt lights up.. the air bag light comes on, becaouse ive got the steering wheel off... but thats all....... when indicate,can hear the click-click-click but no lights ect.....

Hey did you ever get this problem sorted, as ive just got some clocks from the came car and have same problems and need help on how to rectify it lol no lights come on or clock and speedo and rev counter does not work lol just airbag light, if you could get back to me on here or on MDRyan007@hotmail.co.uk would be greatful cheers Mark

Sorry but the mark2 and mark2b clocks arent swappable, the front wiring looms are slightly different in both models so it will just not work!

You'll probably find that when you put your old clocks back in the airbag light will stay on as well
