Hi
I have recently purchaced a cabriolet for the missus but it has an issue
When driving I
All seems fine then when it reaches 3 .500 revs the injector liight comes on and its like the car is starved of fuel drop the revs its back to normal . The garage put it on their diagnostic machine but not regestering any faults . Any ideas
Thanks in advance charlie

The garage's diagnostic machine probably can't handle pre-OBD2 stuff.

Best guess is the MAP sensor or the lambda (try scrappy -- I'm only guessing).

Everyone calls it the injector light, but it's really the ECU light (or even EML).

If you've a laptop, IAW Scan 2 is free (you'll find it on Sourceforge -- Google is your friend).

as above but worth saying is this a 1.6 8v one or a 1.2 16v one. IAWScan2 will read the 1.2 16v one but i don't thinkit can do the 1.6 ecu. MultiECUScan can do that ecu though iirc. google it, there is a full list of ecu's it supports on the website. Free version will read and clear codes.

either IAWscan or MultiEcuScan can read that ecu, although i prefer IAWscan for these engines myself.

You will need a fiat3pin to OBD adaptor, and a vagcom cable both of which can be had off ebay for few quid each. Its is well worth having the program and cables - makes diagnosing problems so much easier (and in long run cheaper than guessing and changing sensors).
