I'm getting an occasional misfire on a late Mk1 Punto 60 SX (1200cc), generally at either low revs or when accelerating up to speed while changing through the gears. Otherwise it seems to drive nicely, its been reasonably well maintained over its lifetime, 80k on the clock, timing belt and fluids are all ok. At normal driving speeds it doesn't give any noticeable problems.

Are there any common issues with ignition/TDC sensor, or could it be from fuel starvation/injector.

Just after any pointers before I start stripping bits down.

TDC sensor is pretty common yes, usually starts as a slight misfire every now and then and gets worse over time, and commonly will be be worse when hot (but not always).

Best to get a few from scrapyard to try before splashing out on a new one though.

Fuel filters are often forgotten about and never changed so if nothing in history and you never done it then it won't hurt none to change it.
