1. probably a clutch bearing
2. check condition of fuel filter. This is located under car on driver side just behind front door...the original alloy ones can corrode and leak...don't smoke when looking.
Also check all hose clips attaching fuel filler pipe to tank.
3. i assume this is the exhaust down pipe probably needs replaced

Smell of petrol may be caused by fractured fuel feed pipe on top of petrol tank.
under the rear seat ,in the middle is a coverplate.
Unscrew this to gain access to top of petrol tank.
If the feed pipe is fractured petrol will spray out under pressure from the fuel pump when the ignition is on.Mine went at around your milage.
Cost of part is around £110 + fitting.Whole sender/fuel pump needs to be replaced.
I got one in good nick from a breakers yard for £10.
Seems its yet another common problem with puntos. 4 puntos is scrap yard, only one still had this part still fitted.!!

I had the same problem but i found that the fule pipes were stretched to reach the sender unit thus bending the plastic pipe. Something had to give.
