Fuel Pump!!

I have got a mk1 55sx, i want to clean the fuel pump which is situated under the rear seats, but i have been havin problems getting it out. I can take the fuel lines off, but im struggling actually gettin it out to give it a good clean. can anybody give me any tips on how to get it out??

Why do you want to do that, i've never heard of anyone wanting to do it since it's a pain in the ****.


You do have a shop manual right, and you did relive the fuel pressure BEFORE taking out the hoses, all you do is take the bolts out on the plate in the rear and pull the pump up, be carefull to not loose the fuel level piece , i've dropped mine every time trust me it takes forever to fish it out through that hole
