| Just a couple of questions, 1. I've only just got round 2 putting the jack away (the previous owner left it on the back seat!) and I cant figure out how it fits in. I'm guessing it goes in the spare wheel under the tool tray but I cant work out how!! 2. Does anyone know the size of the speakers in the dash? It's a 55sx incase they're differant. 3, I've seen a factory fit subwoofer on ebay and heard that all mark ones have the wiring fitted? if so what colour and where? I know it must be in the boot sumwhere? would this work with a non standard head unit whithout a separate amp? And if so does anyone have one for sale or is the ebay price fair? Jon.

| Fat pigeon... APPLE! | Re: calling all mk1 owners! No such thing as a factory fit sub in the Mk1 I'm afraid, no wiring for one either. There's a good selection of 3.5"/87mm speakers here: http://www.mcs-direct.co.uk/acatalog...5_Coaxial.html (just be careful because not all the speakers on that page are 3.5", some are 4", check the descriptions carefully!!) As for the jack, it's got to be wound up to a certain height to fit in properly, it's a right bugger to describe how it actually fits in but I can remember getting p***ed off with mine when I first got the car and leaving it rattling round in the boot for ages until I figured it out!

| can go much lower | Re: calling all mk1 owners! Be careful with 8.7cm speakers... I bought some Blaupunkt ones but the magnets are too deep, so they stick out a bit... just warning ya...
