i quite like the morettes tbh, even on a stock car they look good. But do the car, stick them on - if you don't like it i'm sure someone will snap them up, pretty hard to get these days i believe.
Wow oldskoolhero, you're an absolute Super-soldier undertaking all of this
Big respect to you and like the rest of the guys I'm really looking forward when you complete it!
Thanks dark_crusader I think all the hard work is done after ive welded the quater on .
Ill be in the filler stage mid week the doors have many ripples in them and I want to get them straight so ill skim them end to end to get rid of any imperfections
Thanks blu73 its going well im just concentrating on a section at a time and make sure its as good as possible I know it will be strong then aswell as looking good for a few years to come .
I was at my friends business till 9.30 nackerd but well worth it to see how its coming along . Thanks for all the good words guys :thumbup:
It was the shape of the lower part that was hard to do had to keep offering up the quater and shape the metal im sure there will be a replacement inner quater that can be put in ill do that next time around lol
Im thinking of changing the colour fton silver to orla orange looks a really nice colour two on ebay at the mo I went and looked at the one thats at £1550 its mint whoever wins that will be happy .
Yes thats the one there's 2 on there at the mo I went to look at the one in Nottingham but didn't have the money for it at the time he must of not sold it but its a really clean car . Im defo going for that colour tho I like it alot need the paint code if anyone can help thanks
Its a cool colour, i was just saying to someone the other day that i really wasn't keen back when mk1's were new cars, but it has aged really well. I'd say the same about the minty green metallic colour (430 i think on that chart), looks better now than it did back in the day.
Have had 430, 249, 467, 258, 312, 601, 647 & 426. Working my way through them lol. My first one was the metalic turquise and it looks ok prefere the Stelvio Green. Its amazing how I havnt seen some of the colours though like metalic ducule grey.
You have had a fair few then lol well my minds made up im going for the orange the full name is arancio oria 517-A and 592-A all the metal work is almost done then time to get nice and dusty with the filler and prep
Got the body in 2k primer today its looking good not a spot of rust anywhere panels next think this car will look better than my Clio 197 when finished
