Re: broken into - drivers door lock crippled

http://www.shop4parts.co.uk are doing a brand new 3 x lock set (minus an ignition lock - so you'd have to use your old key) for £20 ex vat.

Re: broken into - drivers door lock crippled

i had my 1995 55sx broken into about 2yrs ago by some idoit in middlesbro'. They got in by using a screwdriver in the drivers door lock..........anyway the lock was totally mashed and got it repaired via my insurance. Now i was expecting a complete new set of locks and keys when the car was returned but some how they managed to repair the damaged lock is this not possible for you ?

Re: broken into - drivers door lock crippled

my door lock recently got popped by some motherfcker, completely damaged the passenger door and the body/paint work, heard its gonna cost £200 to fix. am not too fussed fixing it as i got remote locking, so theres no need to use the key.

i think its best to fill the lock up with metal plating.

whats funny is that i dont HAVE anything in the car at all.

i hate it when that happens, damaging the body work is more annoying to me than damaging the lock.

i have notice that alot of cars get broken and lock popped from the passenger door side, i wonder why is that??

so far i seen 4 cars that have had there left passenger door side popped.

Because most of the time the driver is the only occupant of the car and is therefore unlikely to go to the passenger side of the car, hence allowing them to unlock the car one night and then steall the contents/car itself the next tnight

Re: broken into - drivers door lock crippled

i know why these motherckers pop locks on puntos.

when you pop the lock out, you can simply insert u finger in the hole and hit the latch which opens the door. its simple as that.
