i have just changed the head gasket on my mates punto gt and because some nobhe*d decided to pull the cambelt while the head was off turning the bottom crank i lost the timing position. i have lined the bottom crank with its pointer (at about 20 past on the pulley) and the camshaft pulley with its pointer on the plastic cover behind the pulley (which slides upwards).
The car starts and drives but has a flat spot as soon as u hit the accelerator but then revs up fine but the car doesn't have as much pull as before the head gasket went(the turbo is boosting as before the head gasket change so that must be ok).
I just want to know if i have lined the timing up correctly and to know if you guys have any ideas why theres not as much pull.
;)
