would a mk2 engine work in a mk1? is it as simple as swapping inlet manifolds?

i assume your meaning will a mk2 1.2 16v fit in place of a P85 engine..?

Wot's P85? - never heard of that. I too am interested in a mk2 Sporting or ELX85 engine complete with all electronics incl loom etc as necessary, plus Sporting 6sp box, into mk.1 Cabrio - for nom 45mpg.

Also interested in same engine + box into Uno 70SX - should fly, in a 750kg shell, without going the UT route.

the P85 was the 1.2 16v engined mk1's it replaced the old 1.6 sporting engines
