I have a 60S that has hardly been used over the last 4months, over the last month when you go to start it, just a whine comes from the starter motor, this whine gets louder the more times you try, then becoms a grind and straight away it starts fine. I have had this checked and whilst it may be the starter motor i have been told it could be the clutch plate, as whilst in neutral with the clutch out it makes a strange noise -- if there is anybody who could help me in solving this problem or anybody that has experienced it please reply it would be much appreiciated!

Probably clutch bearing. Gearbox-out job. However, check alternator belt tension and whether or not the alternator is freely moving without the belt. Another possibility for high-pitched sound is cambelt tensioner.
