Did all the punto convertibles have a 1.6?

I'm after a 1.6 and i hear the convertibles and occasionally some sportings had one? Does it not have the same exhaust system as a 1.1/1.2 aswell?

Silly question then, is the 1.2 16V a greater improvement then a 1.1?

I'm looking for something that goes on application of full throttle - but for occasional use. I hear the 16V 1.2 packs a better punch then the 8V but that goes without saying, but will i see a greater improvement over what i have now?

What BHP are the 16V anyway?

Thanks. Having said that, if i can insure a 1.4GT for £300 less then what i pay for this now, then im sure putting a 1.2 in shouldnt really change it. This is why i asked about the 1.6, if my memory serves me right i can have upto a 1.6 without changing the tax class as it is pre-2001 so for my £71.50/6months i will have alot more to play with :slayer:

The cut off point is 1549cc i believe.

The 1.2 16v is 85 bhp, the 1.6 is 90, however the 1.2 feels alot more lively.

I assumed fiat did what they did with the 1.2, making it a 1.2 when its pretty much a 1.3, but making the 1.6 a 1549 :O

Ohwell, 1.2 16V it is! (y)

insurance dont mind so much if the car came with the engine, but some dont like you sticking bigger engines into a car.

btw dont forget it will need brakes upgraded, ecu, keys, loom and fuel pump from donor car

forget about the 1.6 its heavy and has no pull
