Re: punto- dented bonnet

Your sister sure has a lot of accidents. Perhaps she should consider learning to drive?

Anyway I've done this with a bonnet on an AX, the damage was amazingly similar actually. As Dave suggested we used a block behind to push it out, a bit of rubber or something between the block and the bonnet is probably a good idea.

Ours looked ok afterwards but it was never perfect, the bonnet was flat but you could still see the marks round where it creased. If you need it perfect you'll probably need a professional though unless you're lucky...

Re: punto- dented bonnet

ive had my own bodyshop for a couple of years, been in the bodywork game for 20 years..........
you can not repair that bonnet yourself , if you try you will make more of a mess of it.... take it to a bodyshop and let them do it for you...
if you were in the north east id do for £100 all in...rapaired and painted
might be a bit more expensive down south where you are though.... good luck.

Re: punto- dented bonnet

if I end up paying for it to be done i will get a new bonnet and have it sprayed, much easier becasue of the dent and the bonnet has loads of scratches anyway.

Re: punto- dented bonnet

My wife's Mk 1 Punto had an almost identical dent caused by another car reversing into hers. It was over the badge, too. We called in one of those Dent-buster type companies (can't remember which one), and they sorted it in 30 minutes for about £60. It was 95+ % invisible, which was acceptable, and you would have had to have been looking for it to tell there had been a dent. Pretty good for such an 'obvious' area of the car.

Depends how picky you want to be, I guess.
