My rear three windows seem to steam/ mist up all the time,( ok then when driving, no funny business going on ) i just wondered if you lot used anything on your windows to stop them misting up ? if not what do you do ?

I know it seems quite a daft question and i normally just open the window a little but it normally still takes ages to clear, also only reason im asking is because when reversing its hard to see out the back.

No dampness in the boot? Small stab in the dark but are the 2 drain holes in the front bulk head clear, the ones underneath the wiper arms. The ones on the wifes car were choked solid and there was standing water in there.

Don't have a cabin air filter by any chance? When they block it's like there is no fresh air coming in.

Not sure about mk2b, but what setting do you have your heater on? Suck air in from outside or recirculate? Sucking air in from outside usually helps with misting.

Check for dampness in the footwells - could be heater matrix?

Yeah when was the pollen filter last changed?

cheers guys i change the heater settings to drag air from outside and it seem to clear the rear window pretty well.

so if this is a noob question but where is the pollen/cabin filter ?

if it has one its under the glove box
look at the black plastic doings for the fan etc and to the right you will see a slot where it will go
only seen a pollen filter on cars with aircon mind

Mine mist up quiet easily too in the cold

Could try Fog X and Rain X to see if that helps
tempted to try the Rain X on the back 2 windows and Wing-mirror to see if i can reduce the poor vision

I know its a bugger aint it i have the fiat sunvisor thingys which i think may be a cause of it steaming up

Thanks all. My questions have been answered. Now hopefully in the next couple of days (if it ever stops raining) I will be able to check out my Punto's misting prob. Apart from the misting prob my Punto has been a truly super little car.
