Hi there, I have a fiat punto mk1 75sx, and I wanna to change the radio casste player to a mp3 or cd player, but there is one man told me if I changed the standard player, then I can't use the control on the steering wheel(there are buttons on the steering wheel), and I need to get a special cd player from fiat, then I can still control the unit by the wheel, is this true?? if it is, is there any good ideas to get around this problem. hope someone can help me out! thank you guys!

That is one way to do it but the Fiat range sucks ass.
Go to www.autoleads.co.uk and ask on there, they will do a lead to convert a vast range of stereos to use the buttons on your steering wheel.

You can use the controls on the wheel. if you take out the head unit, you will find one or two extra leads, namely the 'remote' ones. You can buy adapters for most cars from auto leads, but if u buy a head unit with a remote input (look in the tech spec) then the wire should fit straight into the wiring loom...
