After reading quite a few threads about people moding their Puntos I thought I would gove it a try.
Have to admit its going to be a slow burner as my goal is to have ready for next Summer.

Here it is before I started:

I plan to Colour code the dashboard
Change the gear Knob
Change the interior to Black (Including the door cards)
Install angel eye headlights
Change the steering wheel
Change the alloys
Add remote central locking
And finally a respray ready for the summer.

Cheers

Well, During my lunch break today I changed over the instrument panel, as I managed to get one from a GT. I know have white dials instead of the boring grey panel.
Will add some photos this weekend when I hope to get some more work done.

Cheers

I like the look of this. Hope it all goes well.

Might be worth looking at the GT leather steering wheel as well.

How are you planning to change the interior, dye or retrim or other method?

I am planning to dye/ paint the door cards as they are difficult to get hold of. I have managed to get some seats which I am picking up this weekend so fingers crossed.
TYhanks for the pointer for the steering wheel, was thinking of trying to get a steering wheel from either the 500 or new Bravo as would like the red badge but not having much luck at the moment!!

Well as promised, here is an update pic.
I have fitted the centre console and painted the heater panel knobs too.
I fitted the dial cluster during the week.

So what have I done this weekend?

Well last weekend I managed to procure some Alfa 147 seats.

This weekend I have fitted the drivers and passenger seats. I have also colours the door cards. So they are no longer blue and are black. I have also painted the door speaker grills black.

It is starting to look better. I will be posting some more pics either later today or during the week.

The next is to sort out the rear now so that the interior is uniform.

Cheers for following (If you are that is!!!:D)

howww did you do this, i reallllllllly want to do mine now :)

was it hard and how much do you reckon it cost?

Love this car btw, keep it up!

Many thanks, and it has been quite simple to do. The most expensive thing so far have been the seats got the complete interior for £80 and had the front seats welded on to the seat framers so they could be bolted down.

The rest has been quite cheap to do, it has been the cost of paint.

Contact me anytime to discuss what you would like to do.

Cheers

The car was starting to look brilliant man, shame you had to sell. I actually have the exact same model/colour/interior. What kind of paint did you use for the handles/center console etc? And how did you change the colour of the door card?

I used red plastikote paint, I removed all the parts and prepped and sprayed them. It is a strong resiliant paint to use, and only takes about 2 coats to cover. I also used black spray dye on the door cards, it took quite a frew coats to get it right!!

Thanks a lot my man! I am definitely going to give this a try. Along with some seat covers, really not too fond of the original seat pattern.
