I recently bought a P reg Punto GT & need to do an oil change at the weekend. Can anyone offer any advice i.e. type of oil & filter to use, what to flush the engine with & do I need to 'Prime' the turbo etc...

Thanks in advance...

Stubs.

Good quality 5w40 oil, champion filters can be picked up at halfords quite cheap and are very good. Halfords do a few brands of engine flush too, as they don't stay in the engine you can go for any of them.
The only problems I had was removing the sump plug and getting the old filter off.
The first was resolved with a 4 foot torque wrench and the oil filter was removed by stabbing a screwdriver through it and twisting.

DON'T use cheap oil - go for Castrol GTX or Mobil 1 or something similar, as the GT's 1.4-litre turbo motor is a small, powerful, highly-stressed engine, and cheap oil won't cope (especially in the turbo itself).
If the oil filter won't unscrew, use a strap-wrench rather than stabbing it - makes far less mess! Sticky sump plugs are simply a brute-force job.
