HI there
I am a new member and am not sure how to start a new thread, so excuse me for butting into this one.

I have just suffered a 100 mile journey in my brother's car, in which he had an ordinary radio sitting on the dashboard, as he had no code for his radio. He has managed to get the radio out, and sent me the serial number. I hope you can give me the radio code. Could you please also tell me how to go about putting the code into the radio. He has no car manual.

OA 735296994 It also says M007050 20/3/02 and March 007

Thanks very much for your help.

regards
Janice

Hi Dave
Thanks for your reply. I have made my donation.

Would you mind also, telling me how to go about inputting the code as we do not have a car manual.

Thank you very much.

Hi Janice,

Thanks for donating to the Fiat Forum.

Your code is: 3255

To enter the code:

The display should show " RADIO M - CODE ---- "

Press preset button 1, 3 times.
Press preset button 2, 2 times.
Press preset button 3, 5 times.
Press preset button 4, 5 times.

Once the 4 digits of the code are shown on the display, press button 5 RPT to accept it.

Here's a link to a copy of the radio manual:

Hi Dave

Thanks for all that information.

However, I have tried the link for the radio, and it is taking me to a link for a file sharing website, and I can't open the radio info. Could you check it for me please?

Thanks again
Janice

The link is working. If you don't have an account with RapidShare, you need to click the "Free User" button and wait until there is spare capacity for free users, then click the "Download" button.

If you can't get it to work, PM me your e-mail address, I'll send it to you.

Dave.

Hi Dave

Sorry to be a pest. - I have tried to follow the link for the radio manual but it keeps saying 'error.'

It also says that the free user 'something or other' is full and to try again. I have tried over and over again but am getting nowhere.

Can you help?

Thanks
Janice

Hi Janice,

The manual doesn't show anything about the code other than what I've posted in #10 above.

If you can't get a slot on RapidShare but want the radio manual anyway, I can e-mail it to you as I posted in #12 above.

If you're having trouble entering the code, the screen should show " CODE ---- " as soon as you switch it on. If the screen doesn't show anything, it would suggest the radio is faulty.

If there's not even any lights comming on the radio, it may be a blown fuse. There will be a fuse in the cars fuse box and maybe another one on the back of the radio.

Hi Dave

Thanks for your earlier help, but we are still having problems.

When we switch on the radio, it says '20 minute mode.' We have been waiting for 20 minutes or half an hour, but still can't get the proper screen to come up, in order to enter the code.

Do you have any ideas please?

Thanks
Jan

I've never seen that message before and there's no mention of it in the manual. Is that exactly what it says?

Have you seen any other messages, for example, " 2--- " or " 3--- " etc.?

If 'someone' has attempted to enter a wrong code too many times, there is a waiting time before you can enter the correct one. This waiting time increases depending on how many times an incorrect code has been attempted but 20 minutes is not one of the times. The waiting times are as in the list below.

The radio and ignition need to be left switched on for the appropriate waiting time.

Yes.... reading the answers to that thread, it would seem that your radio should now be working.

In the radio settings, you can have the radio turn off with the ignition key or stay on when you turn the ignition key off. Assuming yours it set to the latter, I guess it only stays on for 20 minutes. There's no mention in the handbook of the display showing " 20 minute mode " though.
