Hiya, i have got a R Reg Punto 60 SX and every time i fill my washer jet bottle up it works fine UNTIL the next day or two when the bottle is empty. There is a big puddle underneath the engine of my car but the washer bottle is fine, i have had the bottle full and checked underneath the car and it isn't leaking, also i have checked the hoses and they aren't leaking. i thought there might be some connectors or valves that might have passed their sell by date or something like that. i can't understand it, i only filled it up a day or so ago. I don't want to take it to a garage cos they'll rip me off big time. so i thought i would ask you people on here if you know what the problem is,

fill it up again, leave it a couple of hours and then check it again,

if you can see a small puddle of water underneath then work your way up wards following the water until you find out where it is coming from.

if no puddle there yet then go back a while later.

if you can find out where the water is coming from you are halfway to fixing it

OK, pull the washer hoses off the squirters and tie a knot in them both, turn the engine on and squirt the water. Obviously the water won't be able to escape the proper way so will come out of the fault, it should be easy to find but you may need to remove the wheel arch liner to get to the problem.
A while ago my birds Cinq had the same problem, I discovered that the non return valve has become faulty and the resulting pressure blew the hose off the pump.
