Re: superfun Punto

Tried my best cleaning that sensor this morning - gave it a whirl.. started to turn over the just died. Got a new battery in about 10 mins ago, gave it another whirl - turns over, splutters with gas on but still wont catch the interior light stays on when trying to start it and the battery light on the dash dims while im trying it.. totally lost with this now - was dead proud of myself for replacing the cambelt aswell

Unless the TDC sensor's dead....

Thats the thing that Dave's on about...
They can cause lots of strange faults, might well have died..

Re: superfun Punto

Oh im lost now redone the cambelt because my step dad suspected the timing was off, it was but only slightly. Now thats all sorted it STILL wont start :@
It just turns over and splutters thats it, sounds pretty normal as if its just about to start, we're really lost with it now and im still sick of the bus and relying on lifts :s
Is it easy to change this sensor? would it be a possible cause of the non-starting?

Re: superfun Punto

Still not sorted, this is my third time at taking the thing to bits - I've tried roatating the crank wheel 180 degrees as suggested by dave. It almost started sounded like it was going to fire - but now when I try starting it it'll turn over then stop for a second then carry on - no idea whats up now :@ please help!
