Seat back rest cable

Can any one tell me how to change the seatback cable on a 3 door Punto Mk2 2001 please? I think the cable has stretched because if I remove the knob that tilts the seatback and lift the lever as high as it will go then the seat back tilts but when I replace the knob the seatback won't tilt!

Oops Sorry! I need to replace the seat backrest cable on a 3 door Punto (the one that allows the backrest to go forward when someone wants to get in the back of the car)

Re: Seat back rest cable

Ok, I understand your problem.

Remove the seat (4x6mm allen head bolts).
Remove the side cover.
Pop the side adjuster off.
You will see the cable.
You push the end of it off as it hooks over a raise section near the front.
Re-fitting is easy.
Cable is £27 from Fiat though!
