does any one know how to reduce the amount of revs on the punto 55 sx as mine does about 4000 at 70 which is quite high someone told me its the gear ratio is high is there a way of making it lower so you can get more mpg esp on the motorway someone also said changing the gears from 5 to 6. any help please
as i should be going to cornwall and 300 miles at 4000rpm is a lot

Novitec do a replacement 5th gear for the punto, and it drops the revs down 500, but the cost makes it not worth while, it is possible to put the mk2 6 speed box on, but you do lose some full lock, but again this would be expensive. I would like to know if anyone knows any other ways of reducing the revs
