Hello all,
I'm about to replace the lambda sensor on my punto MK1 due to poor MPG.
Anyone know if when it is replaced I have to do anything else, ie, reset the ecu or whatever?
Any advice appreciated.

It's not necessary to re-set the ECU but it's good practice to so the fuelling can be corrected properly with the new lambda readings.

Key in ignition.
Turn key 1/2 way.
Disconnect both battery terminals.
Touch the removed terminals together.

Turn key to off.
Put terminals back on.
Switch on.
Let the car warm up till the fan kicks in.
Turn off.

Drive car below 4k for the next 20 miles.
Job done.
