Unhappy clicking noise from front right wheel

only started yesterday moring and only on the drivers side front wheel from what i can hear,

turning any direction, i get a loud clicking/tumping noise also can feel vibrations in the drivers foot well!?!?!


Any idea what it could be?

Its a mk2 y reg 1.2 16v sporting

nope notthe cv joint just checked it no leeks or cracks on the rubber.

think itss the top shocker mounting for the shocker, if it is its the 2nd one this year first one 2 bolts had sheard in 2 lol any other ideas of it could be let me know

To check the CV joint grasp the drive shaft and twist it to see it there is any movement in the shaft and not the joint. If the shaft moves and joint doesn't then that indicates play in the joint. Any play will be more noticeable with the steering on full lock.

just been out in the rain lol no play in it a little but but for a 7 year old car is normal me thinks maybe about 1mmish lol

the other way to check it is to jack it up and turn the whell whilst spinning it, the sheck and check lol, the wheel, side to side up and down, you should come across the problem this way

no not a stone makes the noise when not moving been somewere today something to do with the front shocker and top mount hopefuly will be sorted in the moring!!!
