few changes

so i have a nice punto 60 and im just making a few changes to suit my wants/needs.

so ill keep this updated and would like people to give feedback.

heres my car:

heres a few bits I'm doing to make it nicer:

Painted and refurbished alloy wheels:

Custom built sub-box to fit into wheel arch:

I was intending on paint calipers today but building the rest of the box in fibreglass and painting and sanding alloys took alot of time.

but im pleased with what i have done!

MORE TO COME!!

Re: few changes

Sell the black alloys and paint the sporting ones Anthracite to give the Punto GT look.

also, put wiper back on as Punto rear window is looks wierd without one!

let me know what you think so far.
cheers.

Re: few changes

No wiper looks good on a mk2, but not so sure about mk1. Might look better lower.

I think there is a light at the bottom pointing up.

And yes you do have to have the plate illuminated as you will get pulled, police like an excuse, and they will then go over the car with a fine tooth comb

It will also fail all MOT's without one

Jon.

Re: few changes

jay_mz89

my plate has a light to it the little black box which is nice and fairly unnoticable.
Also with the sub box, just take your time and make sure you have everything ready before starting, what i did was put news paper in the wheel arch to get main shape then built a box and built it in there to get straight edges to screw to front plate, but i would advise you to put down loads of tape and then masking tape instead of newspaper it will take a tighter shape and will fit better.

Mikeee
hey mike, i have to get the tyres fitted to the alloys yet which will be soon hopefully, so ill update as soon as i have done so.

From experience i can vouch for that, my car failed it's MOT on just one of the bulbs being blown. oh and the small thing of a broken front suspension arm.

If your getting rid of the GT sporting alloys i'll give you £50 for all 4,

BTW how are you windows?
