Checkstrap

Basically ive ordered a new checkstrap for my driver side door from fiat dealers. I wondered, are these easy to fit and if so, does anyone know how i can do it or if theres a guide out there?

Otherwise i will have to take it to garage but im trying to save as much money as possible and if its easy, i might as well give it a go myself

Re: Checkstrap

They are fairly easy to fit, they are bolted to the car with some Torx screws and to unbolt it from the door I think you need to take the door card off which can be quite fiddly if you don't know what you're doing.

Re: Checkstrap

you will need to take the door card off to take the checkstrap out but the 2 bolts are on the outside iirc they should be 2 number size bolts on the door side and a pin on the pillar.
