speedo off the clock. satnav say 111mph though. on a track of corse, only every go 70mph on a uk road

i got 113 outta my 75 mark 1 on a track on the limiter though had no more to give 3 weeks later the gearbox was giving up

speedo so it was probs more about 109 which for an 8 valve 1.2 isnt to bad

why dont you just change the title of this topic to "how big is your cock?"

basically an extra 10mph you added what the speed really was is another 2 inches added on top of how big it really is.

and btw - just under 100mph according to sat nav, 110/15 on speedo.

My current 60S has hit a maximum of 80... because she's never been in the best condition I don't wanna push any further in case bits start falling off!

My 60SX on the other hand did do some... rather naughty speeds which on a couple of occasions ran into three digits...

Not tried with the GPS... though it won't be much above 70mph I don't think (Still have plenty of rev's left and I don't exactly thrash it upto that speed normally)

See, you have to convert that for the other side of the world. 135km/h is not fast at all (my bog-standard '88 X went faster than that).

I got my 2001 Punto Mk2 Sporting with the CVT auto all the way up to 138km/h before the police car appeared. He asked me "is that as fast as it can go?". I said that I was thinking of finding out. It's 85mph. The fine was about three week's income for me so probably wasn't the brightest move. Plus, I have so many points on my license now, just a 120km/h speeding violation would get my license confiscated for six months. Speeding ain't worth it, kids

For real speed and power, I still maintain that you need something like my 164 (I love my 164). I haven't been very fast in the current one, but in the old (newer) one I had a few years ago, I hit 220 (on a public road) which is 136mph, so there! I have so many extra inches after that, I'm almost average! Over twice the legal limit! Could've gone to court for dangerous driving, lost my license, and my car - yeah baby!

Below is a pic taken in my 1987 Lancia Thema V6, back in 2002, that tank drove beautifully at speed as well. Similar FWD platform to the 164 of course. I should point out that even 220 in the 164 was less than the claimed maximum speed in the handbook (which was 241km/h), whereas some of the other posts in this thread have dubiously-high over-100mph speeds for Puntos where the handbook will says something like 105mph...

Once you've experienced speed in big cars, you don't bother trying in the smaller cars - my Uno Turbo scares the %$#! out of me over 100mph and the Punto Sporting - well, it's one of the slowest cars I've ever owned!

Dave - you've got a Punto like mine with the belt drive, surely it's not that one that you had up to 115mph? I'd be surprised if it could do 100mph... mine seems to top out at 85.

I've had ~130mph GPS verified in my remapped Mk2 JTD which is completely off the speedo, I ran out of road though, it felt like it had a little bit more to give (on a private road of course).

Niiicee . Ive never really tried to see what the fastest i could get is. Not worth getting caught imo
