Whats the top speed you have got out of your Punto???

105 on the sat nav 115 on the spedo and still had some to go,

105 on the flat in my mk2 1.2 8v, downhill on a private track of course 125

but that was speedo so probably more like 100 and 115

stilo 145 and still going

I get about 110 out of mine

My speedo said 140mph, and i was in reverse!!!!! however i do get the feeling it was just cos the speedometer is f***ed

In my punto, 113mph on the dials with the wind on my side at least it wasn't downhill, heheh. Have to say I prefer mum's civic though, got a nice 140mph out of that, would've been more but I decided I was being an idiot. She was impressed, mind.

I don't think the aerodynamic profile on a Punto at high speeds is too great.. I've had playful drags with a mate in a 1.6 Escort, I'll have the advantage up until about 70 and then it'll start to glide ahead...

Just a Civic, bloody diesel as well! 2007 model with all the funny angles.

Also, the results with the escort aren't that suprising; look at the power to weight ratios, some highly unscientific ghetto maths later you're looking at similar ratios. The Escort puts out about 90 brake or thereabouts but it's a good 300 kilos heavier too.

Or I am putting out some extra horses Reading petrol mate, full of nitrous, haha.
