It is easy to make it yourself. All you need is a drill a few drill bits and a file.

Having them custom made defeats the object. You still need to port match the plate.

Take a four inch wide aluminium plate about as long as the gasket (probably a few mm longer) about 8 to 10mm thick.

Use gasket from SPI and lay it over the plate as a template (make sure that the holes are pricesely in the correct place). At the same time mark out ports

Then drill the holes and bolt the MPI manifold to the plate. Use the manifold as a template for studs on top of the manifold.

Then drill also holes for ports, but not too big because you need to port match them on both sides.

For the SPI top holes you counter sink the holes on the plate the side mating with the MPI amifold and get 20mm counter sunk bolts.

The holes for the MPI manifold need to be counter sunk from the other side. The bolts need to be about 30mm.

When the port holes are near the port matched side fit it to the port and match it (stick some tissue in the ports). And when it is done you fit it to the MPI manifold and do the same. Don't forget that you have to make some space for the injector.

When this is done you have to cut out the spaces to get the spark plugs in and out.

Once finished you have to get a SPI and a MPI inlet manifold gasket and fit them both.

Re: induction kit

Awesome, thanks. What else needs doing after that though? Unless I am misunderstanding that alone seems far too simple what about the injectors themselves, how confused is the ECU gonna be as well?

I'm quite interested in doing this!

Re: induction kit

ah ah ah. Better get in line AY786. lols. You should start making them and selling them CrArC

so if all i need is an inlet, fuel rail, TB, and injectors off the 75? And if i went to a scrappy and got all this:

1. Would that be everything i needed other than the adaptor plate?
2. If i went to the scrappy for all that, then how much do you think they would charge, just roughly.

thanks guys

thats what i thought too, but after taking the k& n off i realised my car lost a bit of umpff, i think that the kit has to be oiled and cleaned more often than the others. a trick i was told was to stick it in the dishwasher.

Dishwasher will make it useless and that the car looses umpff is subjectiv.

Re: induction kit

I suppose yeh you do have to maintain them alot, you can get some special cleaning stuff for it, but i just wanted to get rid of mine a.s.a.p and after hearing postivie things about the gsr on this forum, thought this is the answer ive been looking for.

Once thats on, i'll put some forte fule treatments i bought which i hear that is suppose to be really good and much better compared to redex etc. Hopefully my punto comes back alive!
