Thanks: 55 Trader Rating: (0) Drives:   |  Radiator water Hey all, I'm a new user but have been lurking for a while! anyway, back to the subject. My T-reg Punto Mk1 has managed to deplete its radiator reserve over my recent road trip (550 miles round trip  ). Unfortunately I live in a hard water area so I'm after suggestions on acquiring/synthesizing softer water (I'd rather take care of the radiator this time round, my Metro was a pain as its radiator filled with a horrible gunk and had to be completely cleaned out every month till I got annoyed and bought my Punto)Cheers all

water on its own is the best coolant. antifreeze is good for corrosion prevention and winter use imo.
