I am wanting to get rid of the standard speakers at the front of my 1997 punto 55s, but am having difficulty finding any 8cm spaekers . Does anyone know where I can get some?? Also, has anyone put 10cm speakers at the front?? Is it possible??

Sony do 8CM speakers for the PuntoMK1. They had some in my local Halfords. They also have a catalogue in the shop telling you their full range. You can also get converters to put any larger speakers in the back.B)

2000 ELX , (1998 60S got mashed)

I put some kenwood 10cm speakers in my dash. You will need to dremel the underside of the speaker cover (all the lines and one of the clips). The cover will just go down.
Personally, since doing it, I wouldn't recommend or do it again.

What I would do now would be to put a pair of tweeters in the place and replace the covers, go to Fiat and get some GT speaker pods, screw em on and fit some 16cm speakers in. The only drawback is that you won't be able to use the window winders (maybe you should consider electric windows).

JBL do some custom-fit speakers for the front of a punto. I was tempted, but instead I put a crossover on the standard fronts and used them as tweeters, with uprated rears and a 12" Pioneer sub & Sony amp in boot. I'm thinking of running a pair of 6.5" Berolina components in the rear trim panels (it's a 3-door punto) where the plastic's quite thick.
