Adrian Flux said my 'back box' changes my insurance and counts as a mod Even though it doesn't change performance.

Can I see some up-to-date picture's of the project please.

technically it will change performance, even if you wont notice it - it is seen as a part of the engine system.

Well of couse it's a 'mod' but why declare it? chances of a claim getting tuned down due to an undeclared mod (unless its an engine transplant or turbo conversion) are very very slim.

Re: my punto

Just wondering, do you know how much extra you had to pay for those, as mine has an exhaust system which i haven't told them about (came with the car when bought) and when i replace the back box, i still probably wont tell them, afraid they'll charge me too much lol

Pfft... I know someone who causes a multi £Million claim for injurys of several people in a bus stand where he collided. This was with an undeclared Turbo conversion, full body kit, special paint, wheels, suspension, brakes, exhaust, £2000 worth of I.C.E, Induction kit. The car was taken away and they paid out no questions asked....... I believe Ghost_Wkd knew someone where something similar happened.

Declaring mod's is stupid its only a waste of money and makes them rape you for even more money. Only things worth declaring are changes to CC's (i.e engine transplant) or Forced charging. £200 a year extra for an induction kit that adds 4-5bhp is excessive especially for a driver my age (22 driving since I was 17 with not one claim or traffic violation) so I refuse to pay it.

i hate to say this, but i have heard similar stories...

and as much as i would like the peace of mind, you have a 99% chance of getting away with it these days.
