Coolant level dropping ??

Hullo folks, I know this may have been covered before, but I can't work out a cause. My coolant level is dropping about 1/2 inch after a run, but there are no leaks, the head gasket has recently been done, and the car shows no signs of the new gasket leaking.

Could it be just an airlock somewhere? I'm a bit baffled really.

just leave the reservoir cap off for bout 5/10 mins with the engine running play with your hoses a little it should sort it if its an air lock,

thats what i do egvery couple of days if mine leaks to much

you probably need to bleed the cooling system, it may be a air lock in the radiator causes pressure that prevents the thermostat from opening.

Thanks very much for the replies folks - reckon there is an airlock somewhere, I went out this morning and the level had risen slightly. I'll bleed it over the weekend

Unfortunately my relief at avoiding a hefty bill was short lived when I realised my clutch is on the way out

Just so you know, bleeding the radiator takes 20min to half hours tops. I'm currently trying to solve a cooling issue in mine. I did mine one evening, it's really quick and easy so it can be done one evening for testing the next day.
