"LED Error"

OK so this morning pulled up at a set of lights and happened to glance at my LED display on the dials, which was flashing "LED Error"

"Bloody hell!" I thought, "what's gone wrong this time!?"

But when the lights went green pulled away and it went back to displaying the time and mileage like normal, everything was how it was before and nothing had reset!

Anyone had this before? I reckon it was just having a funny 5 seconds but just curious...

Re: "LED Error"

Hi mate,

LED error means that one of the LED warning lights on the dash has failed. Have you started the car again since to see if it comes back on? It normally flashes for 10 seconds and then goes out if it detects a fault.

IIRC it tests the ABS EBD PAS warning lights. Do they all still light up when you turn the key?

Re: "LED Error"

Still getting this, just wondered does it only activate the message if an LED that is broken is trying to turn on?
Like say for instance the engine management light was trying to come on but the LED was broken, would it only flash the message when trying to light the light up?
Or does it just do it at set intervals if there is a fault in the system?
