(G) Trouble Starting

Hi All,

I have got a 98 punto, and just recently its been having a prolem starting when it has been stood in heavy rain or when it has been damp. I put it down to the cold but it was fine when we had the really icey weather. Is this just my battery getting damo?

Could be the battery, but you should have notice the problems on cold weather first. What is the siptom acctually? Does it crank and crank but wont go or has no power to crank?

You should first check the cables and the spark plugs if you have a petrol engine, it is easy to do, and this should have most to do with wet weather

Also check if you have any water under the bonet that sits on some parts, fuse box, batery...

It could be lot of stuff, please post simptoms
