(G) Creaking Rear Suspension

My 1.2 8v Active has suffered from creaking suspension from almost new. The garage said that this was entirely normal and lubricated the rear suspension bushes regularly. This hovever only lasts for a short time until the noise is back.

As I understand, grease can have a detrimental effect on rubber and promote premature wear. What lubricants are the preferred ones for doing this job and which bushes should be lubed?

Also, does anyone have experience of a more permanent solution to this problem?

Id of said new bushes to fix the problem, i know someone who is having the same problem but wont replace the bushes for some reason.

I could understand replacing the bushes on an older higher mileage vehicle. But this has been going on since the vehicle was a matter of months old. Whilst it was under warranty, the dealers explanation was that they all do it and lubrication is the way ahead.

I was somewhat sceptical that once out of warranty, the story may change and all of a sudden they need replacing. But the noise is no worse than it was 30,000 miles ago and it does respond to lubrication. I just wish to prolong the life of the bushes by using the correct lubricant.

try greasing handbrake cable holders at rear of car(look underneath).
