(G) punto door handle

Am i right in thinking that if i bought a body coloured handle off a punto sporting that it can be a direct replacement for my sh!t3 faded ones?

how easily painted are the door strips?

Dead easy! Takes a bit longer if you want a glass smooth finish. Take you a couple of hours at most.

yeah i saw the guide and saw how amazing it looked but seeing how my mother opens her car door (thats parked next 2 mine on the drive) i think i will have to keep them lol.

yeah i wanted to colour code them, but just thought about it and i'd be better off getting them done properly so the paint matches blah blah blah

non painted handles have a rough finish and are hard to get a pro job on them unless you have lots of filler 800 wet and dry and lots of paint and laquer

painted handles are dead esy to paint as they already have a smooth finish

and if you find some in your colour on a hgt or elx jtd and so on it's win win

they are dead easy to remove and are a straight swap from car to car

another option is to get a paint strippergun from any good tool store for a fiver at most

and waft it over any black plastic on your car and it brings it instantly back to black as if you replaced them with new it really works and it lasts for a long time

if that's the case i might get a pair off a breaking car and just switch them

Mine doesnt ... nor the side mirrors

i painted mine by taking them off, roughly sanding them with P320, then putting about 4 coats of primer on, flatted down with P800, and painted them, voila!

OK, how do you get them off/on?

No they don't. I have a sporting and I've had to start colour coding bits myself.

Sometimes you get the odd one or two bits floating around on ebay (that have been primed/sprayed)
